Richemont has achieved a significant milestone with record sales of €20.6 billion, marking an 8% increase at constant exchange rates. Operating profit was substantial at €4.8 billion, sustaining a robust operating margin of 23.3%. Retail sales saw a notable 11% growth, and Jewellery Maisons reported sales of €14 billion with an impressive operating margin of 33.1%. Additionally, the company’s commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices was exemplified by its attainment of global gender EQUAL-SALARY certification. Despite these successes, certain segments like Specialist Watchmakers and Fashion & Accessories Maisons experienced slight declines. 

Looking ahead, Richemont aims to strengthen its sustainable and profitable growth strategy, with continued investments in craftsmanship and partnerships with luxury design and watchmaking schools. However, the company faces challenges such as increased operating expenses, a stronger Swiss franc, and higher raw material costs, which have impacted the gross margin. The slower recovery of the Chinese market post-COVID-19 and concerns over foreign exchange rates for the upcoming fiscal year add further uncertainty. Nonetheless, Richemont’s diverse geographical presence and strong balance sheet equip it well to navigate these hurdles and maintain its leadership in the luxury goods sector.
