Ceer, Saudi Arabia’s first electric vehicle (EV) brand, has secured SAR 5.5 billion (USD 1.5 billion) in strategic partnerships to drive its carbon neutral strategy and support the Kingdom’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals. Announced at the 3rd PIF Public Sector Forum, over 80% of these agreements are with Saudi companies, reinforcing Ceer’s commitment to localizing 45% of its supply chain. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which focuses on economic diversification, job creation, and sustainable industrial growth.

Ceer’s CEO, Jim DeLuca, highlighted the significance of these partnerships, emphasizing that while the company brings global expertise, establishing a strong local ecosystem is even more critical. He stated that these collaborations are not only essential for building a thriving automotive industry but also for generating future jobs and driving economic progress within the Kingdom. By strengthening domestic manufacturing and supply chains, Ceer is contributing to Saudi Arabia’s long-term sustainability goals and enhancing its competitiveness in the global EV market.

The company has partnered with international industry leaders, including BMW, Foxconn, Siemens, RIMAC, and Hyundai Transys. Additionally, it is working with key tier-one Saudi suppliers such as Lear, Forvia, Shinyoung, Benteler, JVIS, and Pirelli. Ceer is also expanding its operations at the King Salman Automotive Cluster, reinforcing its commitment to fostering an advanced and sustainable automotive sector.

Since its inception, Ceer has awarded SAR 6.6 billion in contracts to 263 local businesses, advancing Saudi Arabia’s ESG agenda by promoting a sustainable supply chain. The latest agreements cover critical components such as HVAC systems, plastic-injected parts, alloy wheels, aluminum casting, and portable EV chargers. Companies like Zamil Central Air Conditioners, Obeikan Glass Company, Saudi Aluminum Casting Company, and First Telecom Industries are among the key local partners contributing to Ceer’s growing EV ecosystem.

As Saudi Arabia accelerates its transition toward clean energy, Ceer’s rapid expansion solidifies its role in shaping the Kingdom’s EV industry while reinforcing its ESG leadership. By integrating sustainability into its operations and prioritizing local partnerships, Ceer is playing a pivotal role in driving the nation’s carbon neutral strategy. The company remains committed to further collaborations with industry players who share its vision for a greener, more sustainable future.
