VoLo Earth Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on early-stage climate technologies, has closed its second fund at $135 million, representing a 50% increase over its debut fund of $ 88 million. The raise comes despite challenging conditions for venture fundraising and climate strategies, signaling strong investor confidence in the firm’s model.

The new fund targets capital-efficient companies advancing energy, mobility, buildings, and industrial solutions. Early portfolio companies include XGS Energy, a geothermal innovator; Cambium, a producer of sustainable building materials; and Reframe Systems, which develops robotic technology for net-zero housing.

VoLo Earth emphasized that its strategy remains grounded in rigorous techno-economic analysis and active portfolio management. The firm contends this hands-on approach delivers scalable economics and long-term resilience, steering clear of subsidy-driven growth models. For institutional investors, the portfolio is positioned as a lower-cost, higher-resilience option at a time when climate-related investments face heightened scrutiny.

As with its first fund, the raise was anchored by Voloridge Investment Management, with participation from a mix of global institutions and family offices. The investor base reflects growing demand for early-stage financing in the energy transition.

The strong close comes as regulators tighten climate disclosure rules and investors push for credible transition pathways. Despite broader capital market headwinds, VoLo Earth’s success suggests venture capital appetite for decarbonization-focused innovation remains resilient.
