With tourism numbers steadily climbing—7.4 million visitors explored the city last year alone—the Czech capital is embracing a new vision outlined in the “Respect Prague” strategy for 2024 to 2027. 

This ambitious strategy, pending final approval, underscores Prague’s commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism practices. At its core, “Respect Prague” aims to harmonize the city’s thriving tourism sector with the preservation of its historic charm and natural environment. Deputy Mayor Jiří Pospíšil highlights the strategy’s potential to bolster the local economy and enhance cultural offerings, crucial for maintaining Prague’s allure amidst its growing popularity. 

Central to the strategy is Prague City Tourism’s initiative to launch the “My Prague” app, slated to manage tourist flow and promote respectful behavior among visitors.
